The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Foundation (OIST Foundation) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ginger Choy as its new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2025.
Ginger is a seasoned nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations. She brings a proven record in organizational leadership and fundraising, along with a deep commitment to supporting science and expanding opportunities for women and girls.
With a long-standing personal and professional connection to Japan, Ginger is excited to help the Foundation grow its partnerships and impact as it continues to champion global scientific collaboration through the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST).
Based in New York City, Ginger will lead the Foundation’s efforts to strengthen U.S.–Japan engagement in science, innovation, and education.
